Membership Terms
Effective November 1, 2026
1. Who the agreement is between
When you join a plan, you (and anyone you enroll, such as family members) enter into a membership agreement with the dental practice that offers it (the "Practice"). DentalMember runs the DentalMember website and is not a party to this agreement, does not provide dental care, and does not receive your membership fee except where the Practice has told you otherwise.
2. What's included
- The services listed on the plan, up to the number of times per year shown, and any discount the plan lists on other treatment at the Practice.
- Benefits run per membership year, starting on your start date. Unused benefits do not carry over to the next year.
- Your dentist decides what treatment is appropriate. A service being included does not mean it is clinically needed, and the Practice may decline a service that is not.
- Discounts apply to the Practice's regular fees and usually cannot be combined with insurance or other offers, unless the plan says otherwise.
- Benefits are for the named member(s) only and cannot be transferred, sold or used at another practice.
3. Price and payment
- You pay the monthly or yearly fee shown when you join. Paying online is processed by Stripe on the Practice's behalf; paying at the office is paid directly to the Practice.
- If an online payment fails, the Practice may retry it. Your benefits may be paused until your membership is paid up.
4. Automatic renewal
- Memberships paid online renew automatically each month or year and are charged to your payment method on file until you cancel.
- The Practice will give you at least 30 days' notice before a renewal price increases. You can cancel before the new price applies.
- For yearly memberships, you will be reminded before each renewal.
- Memberships paid at the office renew only when you pay the Practice again.
5. Cancelling
- You can cancel at any time, online, from My memberships, or by contacting the Practice. You never have to call or visit to cancel.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. Your membership and benefits continue until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Refunds: if you cancel within 14 days of joining and have not used any included service, the Practice will refund that payment in full. Otherwise, payments for the current period are not refunded, except where the plan's own terms or the law say otherwise.
6. Changes by the Practice
- The Practice may change or stop offering a plan to new members at any time. Changes to your benefits or price take effect only at your next renewal and with at least 30 days' notice.
- If the Practice closes, stops honoring the plan, or can no longer see you during a period you have paid for, it will refund the unused part of that payment.
- The Practice may end a membership for fraud, abusive behavior, or non-payment, and will refund any unused prepaid amount where the law requires.
7. Your health information
The Practice handles your health information under HIPAA and its Notice of Privacy Practices. DentalMember handles the information you give it under the DentalMember Privacy Policy and acts for the Practice under a Business Associate Agreement.
8. Questions and complaints
Contact the Practice first; its phone and email are on its DentalMember page. If you can't resolve an issue with the Practice, email support@dentalmember.com and we will try to help. You may also contact your state dental board or consumer protection office.
