Terms of Use
Effective November 1, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of www.dentalmember.com and any related services (together, "DentalMember"), operated by DentalMember ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using DentalMember you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use DentalMember.
1. What DentalMember is, and what it is not
- DentalMember lets dental practices ("Practices") publish their own in-house membership plans, and lets patients find and join them.
- We are not a dental practice and do not provide dental care. All dental services are provided by the Practice, which is solely responsible for them.
- We are not an insurance company, and membership plans are not insurance. A plan covers only the services the Practice lists, at that Practice only. It does not pay for care anywhere else and does not meet any requirement to carry health insurance.
- We do not recommend, endorse or rank Practices or their dentists, and we do not verify every detail a Practice publishes. Practices are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and plans.
- Nothing on DentalMember is medical or dental advice. In an emergency, call 911.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. A parent or legal guardian may enroll a minor and accepts these Terms on the minor's behalf.
- Give accurate information and keep it current. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us right away at support@dentalmember.com if you think your account has been used without permission.
3. Joining a membership plan
- When you join a plan, you enter into an agreement directly with the Practice under the Membership Terms and any plan-specific terms the Practice shows. DentalMember is not a party to that agreement.
- The plan page shows what is included, how many times per year, the price, and any discount on other services. Benefits are counted per membership year starting on your start date, and unused benefits do not roll over unless the Practice says otherwise.
- Questions about treatment, appointments, what a plan includes, or refunds go to the Practice. We will help pass messages along where we can.
4. Payments, automatic renewal and cancellation
- Online payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. on behalf of the Practice. The Practice is the seller, and its name may appear on your card statement. We do not store your full card number. Stripe's use of your information is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
- Plans paid online renew automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price shown when you joined, and the payment method on file is charged until you cancel. The Practice will tell you in advance before changing the price of a renewal.
- You can cancel online at any time from My memberships. Cancellation stops future renewals; your membership stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Refunds of amounts already paid follow the Practice's refund policy in the Membership Terms and applicable law.
- Plans paid at the office are paid directly to the Practice and renew only when you pay the Practice again.
5. Acceptable use
Do not: use DentalMember for anything unlawful; impersonate anyone; enter someone else's health information without their permission; try to access accounts or data that are not yours; interfere with or overload the service; or scrape, copy or resell the directory.
6. Content and intellectual property
DentalMember, its design and its software belong to DentalMember. Practices keep ownership of the content they publish and give us permission to display it on DentalMember. You may use DentalMember for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
7. Suspension and termination
You can close your account by emailing us. We may suspend or close accounts, or remove a listing, that violate these Terms or put patients or the service at risk. Closing your DentalMember account does not by itself cancel a membership with a Practice; cancel your membership first.
8. Disclaimers
DentalMember is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, DentalMember disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We are not responsible for the dental care, plans, prices, availability or conduct of any Practice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DentalMember will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from dental care provided by a Practice. Our total liability for any claim relating to DentalMember is limited to the greater of the fees you paid to DentalMember itself in the 12 months before the claim (if any) or $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
10. Indemnity
If you misuse DentalMember or break these Terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that DentalMember incurs as a result, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will notify you by email or on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use DentalMember after that means you accept the updated Terms. The effective date at the top shows the current version.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which DentalMember is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
